The new year has just begun, in order to ensure another smooth and successful year ahead, it is important for us to make sure that we are well prepared for the upcoming deadlines on all payroll and salaries tax related compliance matters. We should also try our best to have everything in place with our best endeavours to keep the relevant authorities and our employees happy.

In 2023, a variety of new deadlines will arise over monthly MPF compliance, annual employer's tax reporting, review of coverage and renewal of employees' compensation insurance, latest amendments on salaries tax and payroll related legislations, and many more.

Further, in order to stay fully compliant and up to date on relevant legislations, employers are also advisable to keep abreast of the changes in salaries tax laws and the developments on important court cases.

BDO is organising a seminar to share insights and provide guidance on how we can ensure compliance with the various new/existing statutory requirements. Drawing on our experience in advising and dealing with clients' complex payroll and tax matters, we will be sharing some of the potential challenges that you may encounter with the aim to help you get prepared and equipped for the new tax and payroll year.

In this seminar, our speakers will discuss on the following hot topics:

Payroll and compliance

  • Employer's obligations on various statutory requirements
  • Lodgement deadlines of the payroll related statutory statements & returns to the relevant authorities
  • Latest amendments of employment related legislations
  • Possible omissions and potential offences

Salaries tax updates
