With the growing global concerns on the adverse impact of climate change towards the economic development of countries around the world, more investors would demand corporations' disclosure of impacts of those climate change scenarios on their business operations. Speaker from University of Cambridge will bring you insights of the current research on the demand and trends in this area.

Globally, a “Green Bond” market emerged to support funding for projects contributing to environmental sustainability. Recognising this demand, different professional bodies has developed their “Green Bond” principles or standards to promote integrity, transparency, disclosure and reporting in this market. This session will also give you an overview of the current development and future trends in green bonds markets, with a focus on the green bonds principles and markets standards as well as the market challenges and opportunities in green bond investments.

In addition, to continue the journey of enhancing ESG disclosure in Hong Kong and advocate to embedding sustainability in corporate business model, BDO launched the second year of BDO ESG Awards in February and this session will share and highlight some good practices in ESG management and disclosure of the ESG Awards winners, in order to inspire you to improve your organisation's ESG approaches and practices and in return a better ESG performance and better capturing of the business opportunities.

We hope that this Forum will give you an insight on the climate change and related disclosure, the development of the green bond market, and the future ESG-related disclosure requirements and opportunities, which can help you to get ready to respond to the changes in ESG development.
