The BDO Global Coordination office is pleased to announce the results for the BDO International network for the year ending 30 September 2005.
Total combined fee income for the global network amounts to ?? 2,763 million / US$ 3,329 million - an increase of 16% * in the last year.
BDO International comprises 601 offices in 105 countries and a total staff of 27,828. The network・s sustained development world wide in 2005 is attributable partly to the signing of 3 new Member Firms: two in China (in Wuhan and Shenzhen), and one in Cyprus; but in the main is due to consistently sound performance in every region.
The North America & Caribbean region leads the accomplishment index with a growth of almost 30% on last year, but the Latin American, Asia Pacific and Middle East regions also showed increases in excess of 20%. Individual country performances worthy of note are the UK, the US, Russia and France, with many smaller Member Firms demonstrating substantial improvement likewise, often the result of work referred by firms in the major economies. The organisation・s rapid expansion strategy in Central & Eastern Europe is showing dividends, meanwhile, with growth in that region up by over 40%.
Frans Samyn, CEO of BDO International, is delighted with the network・s consistently exceptional performance this year. .This sort of growth demonstrates more than words ever could that BDO challenges the market model and provides a distinctively different option for clients across the world・, he says. .I am particularly pleased by the uniformity of growth at regional, as well as trans-national level. It is our guiding principle of internal collaboration, combined with a deep understanding of our clients・ business needs, which ensures that BDO remains the expert in every market. I believe these results demonstrate the viability of this strategy・.
* in euro. In US dollars, growth equals 13%. This difference is due to a decline in the exchange rate of the euro, compared to the US dollar and related currencies.
