Mr. Albert Au delivered welcome address at the CFIG launch Reception

[Hong Kong, 26 Oct 2007]

The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) announced in a cocktail reception on 26 October 2007 the launch of the Corporate Finance Interest Group (CFIG). Our managing director and HKICPA Vice President, Albert Au, delivered a welcome speech and also presented a souvenir to the guest of honour, Mr. Paul Chow, Chief Executive of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited.

CFIG is the latest professional interest group set up under the Institute, the purpose of which is to identify a scope for a specialist group that can give greater support to, and represent the views of, CPAs and other professionals working in the corporate finance sector in Hong Kong. It will provide discussion forums, lunch seminars or other networking events to enable members to exchange views and discuss matters of common interest and concern. It will also serve as a resource group and two-way channel of communication, to bring the views of CFIG members to the Institute.

An upcoming networking event organized by CFIG is the discussion forum on current issues in corporate finance on December 11. Details please refer to the website of HKICPA, http://www.hkicpa.org.hk.
