Two forums were held for the Chief Executive candidates, Mr. Donald Tsang Yam-kuen and Mr. Alan Leong Kah-kit to have on stage face to face debate. BDO McCabe Lo Limited was honored to be the auditor for both prestigious events.

The first forum was held on March 1 for Election Committee members. The second debate held on March 15 was organised by eight electronic media organisations in Hong Kong and covered three topics – social policy, political policy and economic policy.  It was the first and the only election forum that the general public could participate.

Ms. Mary Joyce Leung, our director, again headed the working team for the second debate.  BDO was responsible in observing the procedures in the selection of questions and in safeguarding the selected questions before the debate.  BDO was also responsible in supervising the procedures in deciding the speakers’ sequence and the time control throughout the process.

The event received significant media coverage and was broadcast live by several television and radio stations in Hong Kong.
