Mr Johnson Kong, Director and Head of Specialist Advisory Services was invited as a guest speaker by Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, a prominent US law firm, at its Special Topics Seminar Program held in New York on 29 November 2006.

This seminar mainly focused on the implications of and opportunities offered by the recent new PRC laws concerning private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and restructuring activities in China, especially by foreign investors. Other guest speakers included Paul Brenman (Senior Bankruptcy Counsel, GE Commercial Finance), Stephen Lukow (In-house Counsel & SVP, Lehman Brothers, Inc.) and Alfred Pang (Managing Director, Vice Chairman, Investment Banking Division, Bank of China International).

The seminar attracted a large audience of legal and financial professionals in the China investment and international insolvency communities.
