Mr Johnson Kong, Head of Specialist Advisory Services and Director of INSOL International, was invited as a speaker by the New York State Bar Association at its ILPS's fall meeting held in Shanghai during October 18 - 22, 2006.

The focus of his talk was on recent developments in bankruptcy laws and investment opportunities in distress markets in China. Co-speakers included Mr Changyin Han, Professor of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Mr Tommy Yang, Professor, East China University of Politics and Law, Mr Lynn Harrison, Partner of Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle IIP, Ms Vicky Wong, Director of Law Debenture and Mr Zhou Yun, Partner of Zhong Lun Law Firm.

There were approximately 100 different law firms and other entities located in 27 different cities in Asia, Australia, Europe, North America and South America in attendance at the fall meeting.
