The Arrangement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with respect to Taxes on Income ("The New Tax Arrangement") was signed between the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Mainland China on 21 August 2006. Our Director of China Tax Services, Chun Li, expects that the New Tax Arrangement will enhance Hong Kong's position as a gateway for investing into Mainland China.
